Ruth Shapiro and her family moved to the Upper West Side 55 years ago, when they needed a bigger place than their Lower East Side apartment.
Today, she’s alone and about to turn 90. She turns to the Club 76 senior center not only for a daily hot kosher meal, but also for companionship, activities and help from a social worker, when needed.
